Main Stage Ballet & Dance Academy requests the following dress code from September 2011 through May 2012.
Pre-Ballet and Ballet I levels may wear either a pink or black leotard, pink tights and a PULL ON skirt in any chiffon or light fabric is optional and any color is fine. No other netted or cotton skirts allowed (no skorts either).
All level II thru advanced students will be required to wear a solid, black leotard and pink tights (if over 21, you may wear black tights or a full black unitard). Please wear only beige dance bras under all leotards (this means no colored bras or sports bras allowed). Solid black jazz pants may be worn for all classes other than ballet and pointe. Appropriate shoes must be worn in each class and dance skirts are allowed and encouraged. No jazz shorts, sweats or t-shirt allowed. Hair must be worn in a bun and short hair 'pieces' are to be kept secure during class.
Dress code is not enforced over summer session but please wear tights and keep tummy covered at all times.
Adult class participants exempt from dress code but require proper coverage.
CLASS SHOE REQUIREMENT:
Ballet: Pink Leather Ballet Shoes (split sole for levels VI and up please).
Jazz: Black or Tan Jazz Shoes (Bloch Elasta-Bootie suggested - Black shoes worn for the end of year concert)
Hip Hop: Clean Tennis Shoes or Black Jazz Shoes
Lyrical & Modern: Barefoot, 1/2 Shoes or Ballet Shoes
Tap: Black ½ to 1” heel shoes (no heels over 1.5" please)
No shorts, sports bras or t-shirts allowed.
